Market Research and Analysis Graduate Scheme
Although our current programmes are closed for applications, they do reopen on 3rd September 2012. If you’d like to be one of the first to hear about our 2013 programmes, click here to register your details.
Customer insight is an essential and central resource for our business. Providing both broad and in-depth information around customer trends, competitors and pricing, our insight influences and shapes all aspects of our business development.
Think you can predict a market or what our customers will do next? From day one, you’ll be taking information on the market and consumer trends, amalgamating data sources to model the effects, and ultimately advising business managers on the results to steer a £multi-billion business.
Our projects
Whichever project(s) you support, you’ll work with and learn from the very best. Each will increase your knowledge and exposure to the application and potential of market research, and introduce you to the main industry tools. Typical projects could include:
- Looking at the drivers of consumer behaviour and analysing the priorities that consumers place on all aspects of insurance throughout the customer lifecycle. You’ll learn to understand why they choose the brands and purchase channels they do, and then what makes them stay or shop around at the end of their contract.
- Conducting business analysis of competitor strategies in the market and how they affect our business and brands. This involves using information on price, market share and consumer opinion to pick out the threats in the competitor landscape ahead.
- Predictive analytics of business flux in the market, using zero-sum games to predict the movement of customers in the motor and home insurance industry.
Internships
In 2012, for the first time, this integral part of our business ran an internship programme. As a market research and analysis intern, you’ll have the chance to gain invaluable experience and knowledge as part of a team that focuses on taking a much deeper look at the insurance market.
